I just read someone else's blog, and she happened to mention that a new baby
should always be laid on his back in the crib to prevent SIDS
I find this very interesting.
Back in my baby years, from 1953-1967, the rule was:
*
NEVER FOR ANY REASON SHOULD YOU LAY A BABY ON HIS BACK.
BABY MUST ALWAYS BE LAID ON HIS STOMACH, TO AVOID CHOCKING
(OR WHATEVER IT WAS)
ALL 7 OF MY BABIES INSISTED ON LAYING ON THEIR BACKS,
AND NOT A ONE HAD ANY COMPLICATIONS
ONLY A COUPLE ENDED UP WITH A FLAT HEAD
Sorry, can't tell which ones
But that just goes to show you how things change:
NEVER SAY NEVER
the rules will be changed next year.
I'd say, let the baby decide for himself!
