A few more photos and the rest of the story... Upon arriving home and scaling the steep stairs to her bedroom a few times, mom's ankle pain got worse. Now that they were safely away from last years memories of the hospital in Idaho Falls, Dad insisted on an x-ray on the sore ankle, which revealed no injury to the ankle at all - instead , it showed a hair line fracture up the length of the tibia ( the small leg bone). Mom was sworn to no weight bearing for six weeks and a trip to see an orthopedist in a few days. So, David moved a twin bed from the basement into the dinning room, put the cell phone in Mom's hand, and there she sits! The second Dr. put her into a walking cast, but again she was told to just stay off of it.

Karen reporting: Georganna is currently off of her feet - literally - and not near a computer for updates so she asked me to post a few of the pictures I have from their summer travels.

During the last two weeks of August, Dee and Georganna headed form LaGrande on a road trip. They stopped at Brian and Bobbies house in Nampa. Then moved on to Layton to the wedding of Lisa King Kirk. They saw lots of relatives on the May side, but unfortunately, I don't have a copy of those photos. Following three nights in Layton, they traveled up to Park City to see Elaine and Curt. Sorry, I have no photos of that either - I'm not sure any were taken. Then they decided to drive home through Idaho Falls. On the first day here, mom stumbled in my garden and sprained her ankle. Dad wrapped it up good and they extended their stay to almost a week until it was feeling good enough for her to help Dad with the drive home. While here, we went to Mark and Jackies home for a group dinner, saw the Hubble telescope exhibit at the Idaho Falls visitors center, traveled up to Rexburg to see the beautiful BYU-Idaho gardens and Rexburg temple. Went out to eat a few times, and did a lot of hanging around, resting up and visiting. Here are the highlighted photos.
