Brooke's girl

Mark's daughter Brooke  and hubby Len had a girl,  9 lb.  named Shylee Kay.  This makes # 5 for them.  Cute kids all the way around.  They'll be here in a week or two.

New babies week

This has been an exciting time for the Fullers.  Karen's son, Joseph and wife Meagan had a 9.3 boy,  named Rowen Bradley Hill  in Idaho Falls . She had  a long delivery and the baby had some problems,  so kept in the NICU for several days.   He came home today,  and I'm anxious to go see him.

well,  I posted the photos but couldn't get the writing to go in the right place.  so here goes.

to celebrate being 80 I got my hair cut.  Feels good for a change,  and not so grey

Next photo is of Scott and Traci and Enoch and Natalie at Jackson's wedding.

Then comes a photo of David,  as he just finished the siding on the new shop.   It's looking great,  now done on the outside.  and ready for winter.

A good shot of Dee at our front door,  beside the new railings which save our lives every time we step out the door.  Getting  shakier and slower by the minute.

Then Beth and Jeff and cute little Weston,  Jeff's youngest of three.  Beth's a fun grandma,  she waited a long time to get there.

Jackson and Chelsea's wedding was wonderful, with a great day at the temple in Idaho Falls.  A reception that night at the home of her parents was lovely.
This photo is of all of Mark and Jackie's grand-kids.  Plus Brooke is expecting another baby in October.  So they are off to a good start.

Where they ended up,  in Grandpa's front yard .   Interesting collection
What a nice memory .   rocks (and families) last forever

This  was taken at our 60th wedding anniversary reunion in Ucon.
We managed  to get all 7 kids together.
Ruth, Elaine, Mark, David, Linn, Karen, Brian
Dee and GeorgAnna

Congratulations  to grand-daughter Kelsey Rudd Sibbert  on graduation from BYU-I  nursing program .  Sick people are   going to love having her tend them.  No one will want to get well.   We love you,  Kelsey

I did another dumb thing a few days ago.  we had grilled meat which was tough,  so I cut it up and put it in a pan with water to cook.  Dee called me in to lie down with him on the bed,  and I fell asleep.  soon Dee was us saying "I smell smoke" and the house smelled awful.

I had forgotten it,  and the pan was burned black,  also the meat needless to say.  It too most of the day to air it out,  with all doors and windows open (on a 90 degree day)

It reminded me of the day many years ago when I was boiling rubber baby nipples to sterilize them.  I put the babies in the stroller and went off to town.   That was even a greater disaster.  We had to have all the clothes cleaned,  drapes and curtain,  and some things never did lose the smell.

Moral:  an unwatched pot always burns.  sooner than later.

Any one out there remember baby bottles with rubber nipples?

Grandson Jackson is engaged.   This lovely girl is named Chelsey Speirs and their wedding is set for August 17th  in Idaho Falls temple.   Congratulations!

Karen's dog Honey was at the reunion

Keiko's dog Cody didn't get to come

Lots of friends and relatives sent greetings.  It was fun to read
celebrating our 60th wedding and my 80th birthday

Danny arranged for Jason to fly in from California to surprise Ruth
Obviously it worked.  He's there on an internship for two months.
Lots of food in the park,  here David tries to decide what he needs
Now  that looks really good,  his own home made chili on top
Curt and Danny enjoying looking at the photo albums I've made.  It's so fun to have people actually want to look at them.
We took the big lawn swing,  when Gramps got tired,  it folded into a bed for a rest.    He was enjoying the day, obviously
Back at home later,  James,  headed to Dallas Texas mission on the24th, gave me a backrub.  that felt SO good,  he's an expert, self-taught he says.
Dasche loved playing on David's drums.  everyone got a chance later
Jordan built the lego pyramid,  but Dasche posed for the photo  Cute kid has lost some teeth since his last visit
More  drums with David
15 years old Jordan with Mom Ruth .
we ended up having 39 people here over a period of 6 days,  and it was really a fun time for all to get together.  Kids are wonderful things to have

Birthday time

I knew it would happen if I just lived long enough.  80 years old.  Somehow it doesn't feel much different than 79,  cause I look good and feel good
We are having a celebration next week  with all our kids here in Ucon for our 60th wedding anniversary which will be in  September.  Life is good.  We are still in love, more than ever with every passing day.  and we count our blessings.  Heavenly Father is good to us.

We are really proud of David.  This is his first job as General Contractor and he has done a fantastic job.

The inspector showed up one morning and said everything looks great.  Next step....putting on the roof.
