My blog was SO happy to see the photos Karen put on.
It inspired me to get back in the mood. Last night Dee went to bed early
and I was feeling kind of down and lonely, then I remembered that I was asked
to give a 15 minute talk about my Mother on Mother's day.
Hooray! I love to give talks.
I seem to remember last year when the speakers wandered here and there, and I said
to Dee, "I wish they'd ever ask me to talk on Mother's day."
So, this is my year.
I got out a book of Mom memories, and just looking at the pictures stirs up my mind.
I can't believe it's been 19 years since she died. And I still think of her every day
So putting together a talk will be fun.
I've been reading a book by Leo Buscaglia I found in the attic clean-up
(brand new) called LIVING LOVING AND LEARNING
He sees JOY in all of life, and teaches me to jump into life fully.
One quote:
I think it's essential, to live life in wonder. All this magic that's around us,
but we let it go by! In Asia they say life is a great river, and it will flow,
no matter what you do or don't do. We can decide to flow with the river,
and live in peace and joy and love, OR we can decide to battle it, and live
in agony and despair. But the river doesn't care. Life doesn't care.
In either case
ALL OF OUR STREAMS RUN INTO THE SAME SEA
It's up to you.
SO
MY ADVICE FOR TODAY IS
JUMP IN!
Go with the flow and find peace and joy and love.

We all helped with the pruning in the orchard. Linn came over from Kennewic to help.

We cleaned the attic, hauled a truck full to the dump and had a huge bonfire with what was left.
I'm not sure what is wrong with Ruth's face - so here is a cuter picture of her:

Even Dasch took notes!

AMEN

I mean.....THE END

These are Karen's four youngest kids. Kimberly and Ben stopped by 2 weeks ago as they set out on a new adventure of finding jobs in the Seattle area - just because. Kimberly traded in her Salt Lake City job and Ben gave up his life in Idaho Falls in search of something better......updates to follow! They were very happy to stop by Grandma and Grandpa Fullers for the night and had enough room to stuff in Grandmas old crockpot and Grandpas tank of gas. Sarah is at BYU-I and looking for a fall intership in broadcasting (suggestions gladly accepted). And Samantha is counting down the days to Graduation and then off to BYU Provo in the fall.

Karen Here....I got tired of checking this site and seeing the broken stair rail. So I have kidnapped this post and take over. Here is a photo with my two good friend who helped me earn a C+ in Anatomy and Physiology - I also got an A in English ! Yea Me!
