Dee's aunt Jewel died, age 88, and we had the funeral last week.

It was the first time in ages that Dee had been with 4 of his siblings

and a good time for a picture SONJA, DEE, ZOEANN AND LARRY

Jewel was one of Dee's favorite Aunts, now only her
husband Uncle Keith is left of the past generation.
We will miss her

in SaltLake for lunch

One stalk had 4 blooms and the other

shown here had 5, more than I've ever seen

I guess it just felt good in the kitchen

giving us beautiful feelings

We'll be treking down (or over, whatever)

with David , then to Boise for the reception

on the next night. Be fun to visit with everyone.

I'm excited, and hoping to avoid things like broken ankles

like last time.

Here is a shot of Ruth's gang a while back

in Utah (going or coming to Provo)

How well I remember those days, with lots

of college kids over the years.

When the last one graduated, Dee said that was it,

he was never going to Provo again,

and I don't think we've been back

and that's been a lot of years.

It's so fun to have them on the kitchen cupboard and watch

as they double and triple and even end up with

four gorgeous blossoms.

You can just see God's handiwork
right before your eyes, in the middle of the winter.

And lo and behold!
There is winter beauty!
